Family feuds. We have all seen them and many of us have been entangled in their ugly web.

Forced to choose, take sides and defend our position, humans often reduce their rational perspectives to fierce, emotional stances. Social megaphones such as Facebook blast opinions even further.

From afar, it appears that Britain is embroiled in a divisive family feud: Brexit.

Fear is dividing a society and the biggest loser, whatever the result, could be the nation’s sense of connection.

What does this mean for leadership?

Making choices is a leadership act. Making others wrong isn’t.

It may look like the choice is ‘in’ or ‘out’ but how we make that choice is the more important decision.

Whatever the outcome, as with families, you will have to live with and rely on each other for the future. Consider that too.
