Huge Savings
The Challenge

A global organisation sought to change their worldwide supply chain from partner led, to a shared support model (partner and company) in order to maximise the global company’s investment in their distribution network. The organisation was unaware of the amount, value and nature of what was currently in the partner supply chain. Concurrently the number of partners was to be reduced from 210 to 50. The estimated size of the partner’s inventory was between $1billion and $4.5 billion. The partners had requested the organisation’s financial support to reduce the impact. At the same time the company had to maximise its own revenues. The challenge had existed for almost three years without resolution.

The LIW Approach
LIW engaged and inspired eight Directors over two days, challenging them to reach clarity on their aim, objectives and what success would look and feel like. We facilitated the thought process and drove the exhaustive analysis of all factors, challenged assumptions and enabled clear options to be produced.

The Result
The eight directors produced three options for the Board in the two days. One was selected and the new supply chain was implemented within 18 months, making best use of assets, reducing overall partner numbers and successfully transitioning out other partners.

Increased Alignment
The Challenge

To develop an aligned approach to leadership which increases revenues across the sales force of a global pharmaceutical organisation.

The LIW Approach
LIW partnered with the organisation in the design of assessment, development and coaching programs across the differing levels of the organisation and engaged in a licensing arrangement which enabled the in-house delivery of key leadership models.

The Result
A more aligned and consistent approach to leadership across the organisation, growth in revenues and profitability and development of a leadership talent pool.

Growth in Profitability
The Challenge

A division of a major financial institution needed to articulate a stretching vision for the future and create a strategy to realise that vision.

The LIW Approach

Increased Revenue
The Challenge

A sales director at a global networking solutions provider sought revenue growth and reduced costs for a key client.

The LIW Approach
LIW led the application of a leadership vision to action framework to firstly clarify what the specific outcomes required were, followed by thorough review of all of the factors affecting the ability to achieve success.

The Result
The impact was savings in operating costs above $90 million over three years, with additional fees of $25 million for the director’s company in the process.

Capacity Building
The Challenge

A developing world country sets a long term vision to be economically self-sustaining by the year 2025.

The LIW Approach
LIW designed and currently delivers experiential leadership programs across all levels of government from ministers, permanent secretaries, ambassadors, directors and local officials. High potential officials are also developed under a Train the Trainer program to co-facilitate and support the human capacity building program.

The Result
The impact is ongoing after four years with over 2000 participants and public endorsement from the president. Reform programs have been carried through successfully, environmental crises are more effectively managed and the local community is now involved in supporting development.

Growth in Market Share
The Challenge

Leaders at a major software company needed to articulate a vision for the future and to create a strategy for realising their vision.

The LIW Approach
The top leaders met for a one week leadership program designed and facilitated by LIW.

The Result
The leaders developed a vision and plan for a significantly different, new business that’s expected to generate revenues of approximately $100 million in the next five to ten years.
